He smirked softly at her comment. Because it was true, had he been in school he wouldn't have had to wait on her. Not that he actually minded the wait. What he minded was waiting to see her, touch her, kiss her. It was like his body was on fire and her presence was the only thing to put it out. "Yeah you right, should have thought of that. I had to make some runs and stuff. Gotta keep bread in my pockets and yours now don't I?" He worked hard, slinging what he could when he could. He had a honest job for what it was worth. He detailed cars, fixed cars, well he could makes a junk yard car look like it just came from the dealership. But the fact was that was slow money, and he liked to make money fast. He just hoped that at the end of the day he didn't make the mistake of getting caught again. That would ruin more than just his ego. He had more to look forward too. Edyn being the main reason.
See this was the type of girl he had dreamed of. The type that put business before food, damn that was hard to come by. "A fruit roll up? what did you have for lunch anyway." The frown that creased his face was a slip between him being worried and pissed. Shifting he walked around to open the door for her, glancing around every now and then for that one face in the crowd that didn't fit. He knew things were getting rough when he thought he was being watched. With a sigh, he reached down to look at his vibrating phone. Hoes without a cause, that's all that called him now. A quick flick of his wrist and his phone was tossed into the driver seat as he closed to door to jog around to get in. Reaching behind his head he grabbed a Burger King bag and handed it to her.
"I figured you would be hungry." The purr of his engine made a smile slide over his face as he pulled out of the parking lot. There was a lot he wanted to tell her...but not what he thought would disappoint her. "I'm a little stressed and stuff." He glanced at her as he made a slow left. It was time to re-cop and he usually left her at home but he was already late. "My dad keep sweating me like always..." He couldn't lie to her, never had. She knew what he did for a living. There was no need in starting to lie to her now. "I missed a meeting with my P.O, and I could get locked up again..." He didn't dare take a glance at her, he couldn't. "I got to pay a fine and stuff, but that might not help..." It was the second meeting he had missed.
His last meeting and he was done with the headache all together. "The rules are miss a meeting get a fine, miss another get a warrant..." He had missed two back to back. One when he was in the hospital and the one yesterday because he had forgot all together. So there was the big chance that he would be in cuffs soon. Glancing over at her he couldn't help be feel like he failed her. "I'm sorry ma.."
