Summer's over. The past is in the past. It's a new school year and a fresh start for New Directions, who lost last year's mid-west show choir regional competition. And as the students at McKinley and Carmel High get older, do they get more mature? With Invitationals just round the corner, time will tell. Shelby Corcoran, the director of Vocal Adrenaline, has decided to coach the glee club for another year, whilst also raising her newly adopted baby, Beth. But rumour has it that although Vocal Adrenaline managed to scoop yet another consecutive Nationals title last year, they might have lost their touch. But with both teams as competitive as each other, they will both stop at nothing to win Regionals this time around.
